DISRUPTECH ON TOUR — A PRODUCTIVE MORNING OF IDEAS AND CONNECTIONS

The first part of DisrupTech on Tour took place at the Talbot Hotel in Carlow, bringing together businesses, researchers, innovators and organisations for a morning of presentations, discussions and networking focused on Ireland’s innovation landscape and the Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund (DTIF).
The programme included a range of practical sessions, including “DTIF Decoded Part 2 — Insights from Successful Consortia”, as well as guidance on using the matchmaking and project submission platforms. These sessions provided valuable insights into developing collaborative projects, building effective partnerships and navigating the process from initial connections and ideas towards future project proposals.
For L.A.B.A.S., the morning was particularly productive. Dainius Čepaitis and Vadym Fedorov-Moskvitin took part in the programme, met representatives of Irish organisations, exchanged contacts and discussed potential areas for cooperation, including innovation, sustainability, community development and the Eco Village project.

VISIT TO TEAGASC OAK PARK — RESEARCH, INNOVATION AND FUTURE COOPERATION

The second part of the day continued with a visit to Teagasc Oak Park Research Centre in Carlow, providing an opportunity to explore research, innovation and technology development in Ireland’s agriculture and food sector.
During the visit, participants were introduced to current areas of research and development at Oak Park and had an opportunity to meet specialists, exchange ideas and learn more about the practical connection between scientific research, innovation and future agricultural development.
A particularly valuable part of the visit for L.A.B.A.S. was a meeting with Sarah Cahalane, Technology Transfer Specialist at Engage@Teagasc. Dainius Čepaitis and Vadym Fedorov-Moskvitin discussed with Sarah potential areas of future cooperation and exchanged contacts for further communication.
